As a substitute for oak and other slow-growing hardwood species, we use Hevea Brasiliensis – a plantation-grown hardwood used in the core of Timbertop engineered flooring. It has similar density and strength characteristics as that of Oak.

Hevea Brasiliensis provides greater dimensional stability and can withstand external stressors (such as temperature, moisture and air), making it the ideal timber to use as the core layer of our engineered hardwood floors.
